It has been a few months since my last newsletter and it feels good to be back. Spring is exploding all around us, sometimes in the dramatic crash of thunder and stinging bites of black flies, and sometimes in a softer way. I have had a few long and thoughtful conversations this spring about the slowness of the leaves unfurling with the cool weather. The way the maple blossoms held on forever and the tulips closing with each waft of frost only to open again with richness of colour.
I have been enjoying my conversations with reiki clients both new and returning. It always interests me who is drawn to reiki. Many clients arrive tense with anxiety and leave like the leaves, soft and holding on. Some clients and students are drawn to reiki to explore spiritual stirrings. How do we integrate new found capacities into every day life?
How do we care for ourselves, family and friends in ways that leave us nourished?
More and more I return to love. The feeling of love in our heart is the source and the reminder of the life force energy that heals.
Earlier this spring I took the Veriditas Labyrinth Facilitator Training with Lauren Artress. Walking the labyrinth is a spiritual process and can be deeply therapeutic. You are welcome to come walk the labyrinth here with me. Bring your questions and offer them to the process of walking the labyrinth. I hesitate to share stories because it is nice to enter the labyrinth without expectation but I will say I love the look of wonder and magic in people’s eyes as they walk out.
We are hosing a concert this June! Our dear friend Heather has put together what seems to me to be more of a festival with so many amazing musicians! I will send out another email shortly with details on how to get tickets but for now mark your calendar for June 20th.
